Correction of article published in Reuters

Interesting article from TJ Strydom in Reuters yesterday "After merger collapse, Steinhoff goes for controlling stake in Shoprite" (http://www.reuters.com/article/uk-shoprite-hldgs-m-a-steinhoff-intlnl-idUKKBN1AK22G).

It is a pity about the few inacuracies in this article. Let's be clear: Pep Stores was NOT founded by Christo Wiese, as claimed in the article: " a low-end retailer founded by Wiese in 1965 in a small town near the border with Namibia".

In fact, it was founded by Renier van Rooyen in Upington in 1965, who was the Managing Director and Chairman until he passed it on to Wiese in 1981. Read the whole story at: https://pepstoresfounder.blogspot.ca/
